Leo Sanner, the son of John and Mary (Connell) Sanner, was born Nov. 4, 1898 n Farley. He was united in marriage to Ella Linderman on Nov. 3, 1920 in Dubuque. Ella was born Nov. 4m 1900. After their marriage they settled in Farley where they owned the Sanner Funeral Home. Leo was a mortician in Farley from 1911 until 1960 when he moved to California. He also was assistant cashier in the State Bank. Leo died April 13, 1984, Ella died Jan. 10, 1996

The Sanner's had five children; Bill, Leo, Thomas, Paul, Mary Lou, and Jean. All reside in California.

he Lee Johannes home at 305 6th Ave, N.E. was the home of Leo and Ella Sanner. He later purchased the Court house at 3031st Ave. N. W. in Farley for the funeral home. They also lived there.
