ACCIDENT-We learn that Mr. John Nolan, who resides on the Bluff, near Lorimier Avenue, was seriously injured in a mineral shaft, yesterday. He was working in the vicinity of West Dubuque, and engaged in “drifting,’ when a large rock in the top of the “drift” fell upon his back. He was taken to his residence, and Dr. Staples summoned, who found that his collar-bone had been broken and his body severely bruised. His injuries are rather serious, yet the medical attendant expresses his condition a being very favorable to a recovery.
