Iowa News, Wednesday, Oct 23, 1861, Dubuque, IA, Page: 6

ACCIDENT-Last Monday evening as Mr. E. Knags a milk man, was driving along in West Dubuque, when his team came in contact with another, without doing any material damage except breaking his wagon. The drivers of both teams had some words and came to blows, Mr. Knags was knocked down under the horses feet when one of them trod upon his leg, breaking it about four inches above the ankle. Those who saw the difficulty say that Mr. Knags was not to blame as he gave half of the road, while the driver of the other team showed no sign of acting in like manner.

That other teamster should be made to remember the law on that subject.
