A Boy Dangerously Injured by Machinery

About four o’clock yesterday afternoon a young man names Henry Stubenhaver, who works at one of the planing machines in Carr & Austin’s shop, was seen to fall while at work, and it was discovered that he was dangerously injured about the head and shoulders, was terribly cut about the head. No one saw him at the time he received his injuries, but it is supposed that he stumbled and fell on the revolving pulleys. His injuries are of a very serious character, though not necessarily fatal. Dr. Horr dresses the young man’ injuries and he was placed on car and conveyed to his home in Dunleith. He is about eighteen years of age, and is said to be the only support of a widowed mother.
