THE DUBUQUE STATE GUARDS
Capt. Nicholas Eichman received yesterday morning from Adj. Gen. N. B. Baker commissions for himself as Captain, John Algeyer as First Lieut. N Wm. Faust as Second Lieut. of the Dubuque State Guards. He also received notice of the shipment to him of 40 Springfield breech loaders, three swords, and 500 rounds of blank cartridges. The Guard number about 80 men, and soon expect to be uniformed. They will make a very creditable military company.
