Mr. David Gibson was a shoemaker in Farley in the mid 1870’s. David and Eliza (Herron) Gibson married in 1865. They lived six miles from Farley, in the region of Cooper Harbor. Mr. Gibson was murdered in 1875. Mrs. Eliza Gibson died from a fall down her steps in her home in December 1895. She was 66 years old. The Gibson’s had six children: H. H. Gibson, William Gibson, Mrs. Henry Briggs, Mrs. George King, Mrs. William King and Mrs. Joseph Rewe. Both Mr. and Mrs. Gibson were buried south of Farley.
