Lawrence McGuigan, Jr. farmed some of the family homestead in Taylor Township NE of town. About 1870, he married Grace Bradley. Grace was born in Ireland and lived in Chicago before arriving here. The couple had one child who died infancy and one adopted son, Joseph, who later lived in St. Paul, MN.
