MATRIMONAL-At the Cathedral, this morning, Mr. John J. Lenehan was united in marriage to Miss Maggie O’Hare. The ceremony which made the youthful couple ”two in one flesh” was performed by the brother of the groom, Father Thomas Lenehan, of Fort Dodge, who came to Dubuque for the purpose of making John one of the happiest mortal in existence. The ceremony was impressive and beautiful, and, at its conclusion, Father McLaughlin, an old school fellow of the new made husband, made a few well-timed and instructive remarks. The bridesmaid was Miss Ellen Ann O’Connor, while Mr. B. E. Lenehan acted as groomsman. The popularity of the principals to the marriage caused a large number of people to assemble in the church, and before the words were said which made the bond between them inseparable, the sacred edifice was almost filled. The marriage ceremony over, the happy couple retired to the home of the bride’s mother, where a reception was given to all relatives and friends. Tonight, Mr. Lenehan and wife will give a reception at their future home, which has been fitted up with that taste and elegance which love alone can devise and love alone can execute. Both groom and bride are well known in this city, as both were raised here, and belong to highly respected families.

The bride is handsome, highly accomplished, and a fitting companion for the man whom she will hereafter call husband-a man who, by his probity and industry has secured the success with all who are acquainted with him.

We trust that no cloud may ever rise to darken the sky of this alliance, and that both bride and husband may live, in the enjoyment of mental and physical health, to hear their names uttered with love and gratitude by future generations.
