Fire-About 8 o’clock this morning, the frame building corner of Locust and First Street, owned by P. Cosgrove caught fire and was nearly destroyed. Some other buildings in the vicinity, occupied by different families were more or less injured, but through the exertions of the firemen the flames were confined to the original building. Mr. Cosgrove was not insured. A shoemaker by the name of Slattery, adjoining, had his stock injured by removal to the street; to the extent of $300 to $400. The fire caught in rear of the building, but the origin of the same is not known.
