JOSEPH J. KABAT, merchant tailor, Main street; is a native of Austria, and was born Aug. 26, 1831; he grew up to manhood there, and came to America in 1856; he came to Iowa the same year and located at Dubuque; began working at his trade; in 1864, he engaged in business for himself and has continued since then; is the oldest merchant tailors in the city, and has built up a good trade. He was united in marriage to Miss Eleanor Wolland, a native of Austria, in 1857; they have two children- Joseph and Eleanor
