Our noble namesake, the Dubuque, Capt. Hill in command, showed her smokestacks about 1 o’clock p.m. and shortly afterwards was tied up at the N. L. wharf boat. She had a barge in tow and brought here 700 packages of assorted merchandise for city merchants and 250 packages for the country. She took on 200 packages of provisions and 500 sacks for St. Louis, with several tons of way freight and left for Galena to be inspected, thence to St. Louis.
