Dubuque is not going to be behind St. Paul in the matter of an ice palace. Joe Rhomberg yesterday began the erection of a model ice palace at his skating rink at the baseball park. The building will be about thirty feet high and is to be illuminated at night. He expects to have the structure completed by next Sunday. Mr. Rhomberg undertakes the expense personally in hope that next year the citizens will endeavor to build an ice palace on a grander scale. There will be no necessity to go to St. Paul, as Joe will have an ice palace, a toboggan slide and just as smooth ice for skating as St. Paul can furnish. – Herald.
