The Clinton Age, Clinton, Iowa, February 4, 1881
Iron Dog, one of Sitting Bull’s chiefs, with sixty-four followers, direct from Woody Mountain, surrendered to Major ?. So destitute were they that they killed ponies for food along the route. Nearly seven hundred members of Sitting Bull’s band have now gathered in by our troops.
