Farley, Ia. March 18. – Special: Mrs. J. F. Knippling died at her home here Friday night following a brief illness. Six weeks ago she fell and suffered a broken hip and she has been in serious condition since.

Mrs. Knippling maiden name was Hartnett. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Patrick Hartnett, pioneer residents of Dubuque County and was born in Iowa Township on Nov. 1, 1856. Thirty-three years ago she was married to Joseph F. Knippling. They lived in Farley since that time except for five years spent in Minnesota.

Besides her husband she is survived by one brother, Timothy Hartnett of Pierre, S. Dakota, and one sister, Sister Mary Josephine of the Visitation Academy, Dubuque.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday morning at 9 o’clock at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church here.
