Judge T. S. Wilson Reaches that Mark
on Yesterday’s Birthday
~
Judge T. S. Wilson was born at Steubenville, Ohio, on the 13th of October, 1813, and so reached his 80th birthday yesterday.

In honor of the event, his niece, Miss Sarah Wells, gave a tea party last night, so which a few of his family members were invited. It is unnecessary to state that the Judge himself was the most youthful and most frisky person present.

Judge Wilson came to Dubuque in 1836 when a young man only 23 years old, and has resided here ever since. He is probably the oldest lawyer in point of service in the state of Iowa, and heads the list of those who have been judges. He early went upon the bench, and at once time chief justice of the territorial court. He is a man of excellent constitution, and is well preserved and vigorous. He bids fair to live for many years yet, and it is to be hoped his span of life may be lengthened out for many years. His eye is not dimmed nor his natural force abated, and he can defend himself against an insult should any one dare to offer one, with as much promptitude as any man of twenty. May the judge live yet for many years.
