The marriage of Miss Edna Bossard and Edward W. Jones was solemnized last night at 8 o’clock at the home of the bride’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Bossard, 11 Center Place. Only the immediate relatives and a few intimidate friends witnessed the ceremony which was read by Rev. Owen Davis Odell, of the Second Presbyterian Church, assisted by Rev. Mr. Haskell.

The bride, beautifully gowned in white batiste entered the parlor on the arm of her father where she was met by the groom and officiating clergyman. The scene of the marriage ceremony was made most attractive by the profuse floral decorations. Carnations, pink and white with roses and smilax were in abundance and throughout the house and the arrangement was artistic and effective. After the service the bride and groom received the good wishes of the guests repairing to the dining room where refreshments were served.

Mrs. Jones is a graduate of a Dubuque high school and has been prominent in church and social circles in this city since she has grown to womanhood. Her friends are legion and speak of her in the warmest terms of praise as a most estimable young woman.

Mr. Jones is a clerk in the post office. He is an energetic young man with a bright future before him secured by his strict application to business. Of a pleasing personality he has made many friends. Mr. and Mrs. Jones will settle down to housekeeping at once at 1361 White Street.
