Sheriff Conlin Located Them at
Milwaukee – Boys are Only
Ten Years old
~
Dubuque has two of the youngest tramps on record. They are young Hynes and Schiesel who reside on Seminary Hill and who are only ten years old. The boy, Hynes, has run away from home a number of times and for a youth of his age he is a wonder.

Last week Hynes and Schiesel disappeared from home and the parents of the latter were greatly perturbed. They appealed to the police and today a dispatch was received from the chief of police in Milwaukee, stating that the two youths are in custody here. The telegram also asked for instructions for their disposition. It is probable that their parents will send transportation.

As stated above, young Hynes has run away before. Once in company with another youth he went to Savannah. Last Christmas he ran away to Chicago with a lad named Kenneally. Sheriff Conlin located them and brought them back. They are causing so much trouble that the police may ask the court to send them to a reform school.
