RAILROAD ITEMS – A. J. Poland, train master of the northern division of the I. C. R. R., formerly of the Centralia division, was made the recipient of an elegant gold watch worth $200 on New Year’s Day. No officer on the road is more respected or more of a favorite, and this gift from his former associates, conductors and engineers of the Centralia division is worthily bestowed.
