SUIT FOR $10,000 – Today the case for Geo. W. Albert vs The Illinois Central Railroad will be called for trail in Judge Bagg’s circuit court in this city. This case is the mate to Charles G. Haines who lately obtained a verdict for $11,000 at Independence. Haines and Albert were both injured at the same time, Oct. 10th, ’72, in attempting to cross the railroad tracks with a wagon near Julien in front of an approaching train. Albert’s petition calls for $10,000 damages for bodily injury sustained.
