Dubuque Herald, Jan. 7, 1873

DREW A PIANO – Supt. H. A. Wolcott, of the [C.?] D. & M. Road, received the congratulations of his fellow railroad men yesterday on his luck in drawing a fine piano which was put up in a raffle by the Gilliam Bros., in this city a few weeks ago. The instrument is valued at a several hundred dollars and Mr. Wolcott modestly expresses a doubt in his own mind whether he follows railroading or piano forte-we suppose the ivory will find its way into the superintendent’s office, and music lessons are even at half price.
