GONE TO IDAHO – J. R. Patton, F. Burke, P. Bell, H. H. Marfield, Jr., Jas. Murphy and a man from Dubuque started from Galena last Thursday, with 15 mules and one load of goods bound for Virginia City. At Omaha where they expect to arrive 10 days, they will purchase enough goods to load their teams. Burke and Patton go on a speculating expedition to return next June, but the remainder of the party intend to make a permanent home in the Rocky Mountain country.
