A Trot On Lake Peosta – The ice on Lake Peosta is in fine condition for a horse trot, and it is hinted around town that a match could be made if a purse could be raised. There are a number of fast horses in Galena, and also in Monticello, Independence, and other towns, with those in this city, a fine days sport might be realized.
