Police Court
~
A fracas occurred at the saloon at the corner of Fourth and Clay Streets yesterday afternoon between the proprietor and a broom maker named Cass, during which knives, pistols, chairs and other weapons were used, the stove knocked down and a general rumpus was created. Cass received wounds on his head in which the blood flowed freely. The parties had a hearing before Justice Mask which was adjourned until evening, and had not closed late last night. Lawyers were engaged on both sides and a great deal of wrangling used in questioning a Teutonic witness.
