Conrad Leik firm of Leik & Banwarth, millers, Durango; he was born July 30, 1845, in Germany; when about nine years old, he came with his parents to Pennsylvania; in 1865, he came to Dubuque Co.; he is now running the Durango Mills, owned by Mr. Gandelfo. He married Emeline Shafer, in March 1871; they had five children, three living- Charles H., Anna E. and Emma P. They attend the Lutheran Church.
