Promoted Fourth Sergeant Oct. 22, 1862; Third Sergeant Jan. 8, 1863. Wounded May 17, 1863, Black River Bridge, MS. Promoted First Sergeant Sept. 1, 1863; First Lieutenant June 4, 1864. Mustered out June 15, 1865, Baton Rouge, LA.
Died Feb. 4, 1901. Buried Linwood, Dubuque, IA.
