George E. Traut, who formerly lived at 74 S. Grandview Avenue, has been advanced in rating to pharmacist mate second class, after passing the Navy's requirements for promotion at the U. S. Naval Training Station, Great Lakes, Ill. He received his training at the Navy School at Great Lakes, and was then assigned to duty at the U. S. Naval Hospital at the same station. Later he was transferred to ? at the McIntrie Dispensary at Great lakes. Prior to entering the Navy, Mate Traut was employed as an embalmer and assistant funeral director at the Huebsch Funeral Home.
