JOSEPH SCHMITT, farmer, Sec. 30; P.O. Lattnerville; born in France Feb. 17, 1840; at the age of 7, came with his parents to America, and settled in Dubuque Co., Iowa, in 1847; his parents, old and well known settlers here, are both deceased; the father died in 1862, the mother in 1879; Mr. S. has a good farm of ninety-five acres. His religion in Catholic; his politics, Democratic.
