L.A. RHOMBERG, of the firm of Jaeger & Rhomberg, wholesale dealers in wines and liquors, 521 Main street, is a native of Austria, and was born June 15, 1843; he came Dubuque Feb. 28, 1860; after reaching manhood, he engaged in business in 1864, the firm being L.A. Rhomberg & Bro., and, afterward, was a member of the firm of Paul Trant & Co., who were succeeded by the present firm of Jaeger & Rhomberg. Mr. Rhomberg was united in marriage July 23,1866, to Miss Margaret Jaeger, a native of the city of Dubuque; they have three children-Louise L., Alphonse and Augusta.
