Rosina "Mickey" Hanna, 70, Lamar, died at 4:35 a.m. Tuesday, January 8, 1991, at St. John's Regional Medical Center, Joplin, after a short illness.

Mrs. Hanna was born February 4, 1920, at Crewe, England. She moved to the United States in 1946 and became a naturalized American citizen. She moved to Lamar (LeMars?) from Milford 24 years ago. She was the coordinator of Lamar Senior Citizens Center for 12 years. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. In 1988, she was named Woman of the Year by the Business and Professional Women's organization.

She married Tom L. Hanna on June 5, 1944, in England; he died August 2, 1974.

Survivors include a son, Roy R. Hanna of Joplin; five daughters, Chris Hanna of the home, Terri Griffit of Lamar, Iola French of Joplin, Pat Pannell of Richmond, and Arlene Calhoun of Rockford, Illinois; two brothers, Billy Terry of Driffield, England, and Reg. Terry of Taignton, Endland; a sister, Jessie Lucas of Burningham, Englad; fourteen grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Funeral Mass was at 1:30 p.m. Friday, January 11, 1991, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, with the Rev. Thomas E. Allen officiating. Burial was in Memory Gardens Cemetery. Rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Thursday, January 10, at the Lohmeyer - Konantz Funeral Home. ~ The Des Moines Register, Des Moines, IA Jan 1991.
