Mrs. James F. Winterringer Passed Away Last Friday at Home of Her Son

Mrs. James F. Winterringer, a resident of Cedar county for 41 years passed away last Friday afternoon at the home of her son, Richard Winterringer, east of Hartington, aged 73 years. The funeral service was conducted at the home by Rev. Coltrane, of Coleridge, Services were also held in the Congregational Church after which interment was made in the Hartington cemetery.

Mrs. Winterringer was born in New York state on Feb. 22, 1850, being the youngest child in a family of 10. She accompanied her parents to Woodbury county, Iowa in 1858 where she was married to James F. Winterringer on Jan. 26, 1867. After a residence in that section of 15 years they came to Cedar county in 1882, residing here since that time Mrs. Winterringer was confined to home the major part of time for the past six years and has been confined to her bed since suffering a stroke last February.

She is survived by her husband J.F. Winterringer, two sons, Richard of Hartington, and Wm. E. of Marshalltown, Iowa; 10 grandchildren, Mrs. Ernest Frerichs, Coleridge; Mrs. Wm. Schaefer, Crofton; and Clyde, Lilly. Mabel, Richard and Francis Winterrringer at home, Mrs. Vern Fisher of Norfolk and Herman and Geraldine Winterringer of Marshaltown, Iowa, and also five great grandchildren.
