CIVIL WAR VETERAN AND PIONEER DIES

Charles Launsbach Sr., died at his home last night after an illness of several months. He was 84 years old and had been a resident of Sioux City nearly 60 years.

Mr. Launsbach was a member of General Hancock post No. 22, GAR. He served throughout the civil war with Iowa and Illinois regiments. After the war he returned to Sioux City.

His wife, five daughters and one son, Charles Launsbach, Jr. survive him. The funeral probably will be held tomorrow, in charge of the GAR.

LAUNSBACH - Funeral services for Charles Launsbach Sr., of 1204 Wall street who died Monday, were held from [illegible] chapel at 2:30 this afternoon. The services were conducted by the Hancock post GAR and Rev. H.E. Hutchinson of the First Episcopal church. Burial was in Floyd cemetery.
