Funeral is Held for Mrs. Doughty, Pioneer

Funeral services for Mrs. Emily Eunice Doughty, age 79, pioneer of Tillamook county, were held from the Community church of Bay City Tuesday afternoon. Mrs. Doughty had been a resident of Bay City since June 1870 when she and her husband and two children came here from Iowa.

She was born at West Winsted, Connecticut, June 15, 1846. In 1854 her parents moved to Illinois, and in 186_ to Iowa. There she was married to William Thomas Doughty, April 11, 1866. Mr. Doughty died 14 years ago.

Mrs. Doughty is survived by six of her seven children, William, Vesper, Waldo and Lucy, of Bay City. Edwin, of Deer Park, Washington; and Mrs. Faye Baker, of Valleyford, Washington. She also leaves three grandsons and a granddaughter.

The Henkle undertaking parlors had charge of the funeral at which Rev. R. H. Parks of Bay City officiated
