Milford Mail, Milford, Dickinson, Iowa, USA December 1, 1898

JEPPESON.—At his home in Milford Sunday, November 27, 1898, Hans Jeppeson, aged 74 years. Deceased was born in Denmark in 1824. He was a soldier in the Danish army during the war with Germany from 1848 to 1851. Was married to Christiana Jensen .October: 14, 1854, and emigrated to this country in 1866, settling in Blackhawk county, Iowa.

Seven children were born to them, who, with the aged mother are left to mourn his loss. In 1881 the family moved to Nebraska, and after a residence of ten years in that state, came to Dickinson county in 1891. Mr. Jeppeson was a kind husband and father, a good citizen and neighbor and a friend to everyone. He has been an uncomplaining sufferer for many months, and death came to him as a relief from bodily pain rather than as a messenger of woe.

Deceased was the father of Mrs. P. Rasmussen of this place. Funeral services were held in the Congregational church Monday, and the remains were laid to rest in the Milford Cemetery
