VERN TITTERINGTON WEST OKOBOJI CLUB OWNER DIES SUDDENLY

Obituary

Vernon Lewis, youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. M. H. Titterington was born July 22, 1908, at Audubon, Iowa and passed away at his home near Milford at 11:00 a. m. on May 14 at the age of 39 years, 9 months and 22 days.

Vern Titterington moved with his parents to Dickinson County in March 1912 and has made his home here since that date. After being graduated from Milford High school he was employed until establishing a business of his own several years ago. He became ill in 1928, nd has had several periods of serious illness since that date. His sudden passing was attributed to diabetes.

He was married to Coila Jeppeson of Milford on July 1, 1925. To this union two children were born: Howard, who is now farming, and Marcia who will be a Junior in Milford High School next term.

Preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Everett, Vernon Titterington leaves to mourn his sudden passing, his wife, Coila Titterington, his children, Howard and Marcia. and six brothers and sisters. They are C. H. Titterington, Mrs. George Froendt, and Mrs. B. A. Boers, all of Arnolds Park; J. E. Titterington of Milford and, Mrs. C. D. Olson .and Mrs. A. E. Ballew of Los Angeles and San Francisco, California. Besides these there are several nieces and nephews and other relatives, and a great multitude of friends.

Relatives attending the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. C. D. Olson of Los Angeles. Mr. and Mrs. A E. Ballew of San Francisco, Mr and Mrs. Jack Shaeffer of Scottsbluff, Neb., Robert Titterington of Minneapolis, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Mann of Council Bluffs and Eloise Titterington of Iowa City, Harry Titterington and Mrs. Irma Rommell, uncle and cousin of Taylor Ridge, Illinois, Miss Sue Titterington and Miss Vanica Titterington, and Forrest Fellows, aunts and cousins of Rock Island, Illinois. Mrs. B. A, Boers of Arnolds Park, a sister, was unable to attend because of illness.

Active pall bearers were Marion Swarner, Carlton .Kermison, Chas. Wahlhoefer. Gayle Doss, Roy Pue and Nile Johnson.

Honorary pall bearers were L. H. .Hooker of Arnolds Park, Karl Momsen of Everly, Russell Rute, George Nelson, and Richard Cline of Milford, Leo Park, Claude Pullen. Pete Austin, Don Hall and Lawrence Higgenbottam all of Spencer.

Burial was in the Milford cemetery where his father and brother are buried.
