Obituary
Robert A. McLaughlin, veteran of the Civil War and a much esteemed Dickinson county citizen passed away at his home in Okoboji township at 5 p. m. on March 29 at the age of 86 years, 3 months and 24 days. He had been ill for only three weeks.

On March 13, 1877 he was married to Catherine Smith at Benton, Ohio, and this couple celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on March 13, 1927.
Mr. McLaughlin has been a resident of the Milford community for 14 years where he has made scores of friends.

He joined the Congregational church soon after coming to Milford and since that time has been a faithful member always attending when able to do so.

He leaves to mourn, his wife, four sons, Otis and Ed of Okoboji township, Harvey of S. Dak and Walter of Ohio besides several grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.

The funeral services will be held in the Congregational church at Milford under the auspices of the Milford Post American Legion on Friday afternoon. [Burial was in the Milford Cemetery.]
