Funeral services for Louie Clausen, 73, of Lake Park were from the First Presbyterian Church of Lake Park on Friday afternoon, May 9, 1969 at two p.m. Mr Clausen passed away at the Dickinson County Memorial Hospital on Tuesday, May 6 from a lingering illness.

Louie August Clausen was born in Halebol, Germany on May 19, 1896. He came to the United States in 1913.

He was united in marriage to Agnes Peterson on May 19, 1917 at Spirit Lake, Iowa. They were privileged to observe their golden anniversary two years ago.

Survivors left to cherish his memory are his wife Agnes, One daughter Lucile, Mrs. Art Fischer, and one son, Leonard, both of rural Lake Park, five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren also survive.

Mrs. C.E. Lawrence and Mrs. Ray Willemssen sang "Rock of Ages" and "Beyond the Sunset" accompanied on the organ by Mrs. Richard McClain.

Rev. Ray Willemssen officiated at the service and interment was in the Silver Lake Cememtery of Lake Park. Pallbearers were Ed Jacobson, Herman Wunder, Lester Hintze, Allen Untiedt, Ed Fischer, and Harlen Puck. The Donovan Leyson Funeral Home of Lake Park was in charge of arrangements.
