OBITUARY:

UPTAGRAFFT: In Milford Township, May 23rd, of heart desease, John Uptafrafft, aged 52 years.

Mr. Uptagrafft settled iin this county at an early day but moved to Goodhue county, Minnesota, in 1873, returning here a few weeks ago. His death was quite sudden and the details will be found in our Milford Department.

MILFORD AND VICINITY:
Sudden Death: Mr. John Uptagrafft died very suddenly of heart disease at his residence in this township last Thursday. Early in the morning of that day he went over Lewis Pauls and borrowed his corn-maker, went home and commenced to work. After laboring a short time he was taken very ill and his wife found it necessary to assist him to the house. Dr. Crary was immediately summoned but while on his way, he was met by a neighbor who informed him that Mr. Uptagrafft was already dead. His remains were taken to Spirit Lake Thursday evening for burial.
