Hold Services for Beulah Jeppeson
Beulah Jeppeson, 59, died Sunday afternoon at her home on Pocahontas Point following a lingering illness.
Funeral services were held Tuesday morning at 10:30 in Union Memorial Church with the Rev Robert Rohlman officiating. Leyson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements and burial was in Milford Cemetery.
Pall bearers were Roy DePue, Bruce Baker, Vernon Brosh all of Milford, Charles Wohlhofer of Arnolds Park, Bill VanderBurg of Spirit Lake and Kenneth McLaughlin of Sac City.
Mrs. Roy DePue, Mrs. C. O. Colvin and Mrs. Archie Barriage were in charge of the floral tributes. Mrs. Frank Fellows of Maywood accompanied Mrs. Jim Bonstetter of Terrace Park as she sang "The Old Rugged Cross" and “Some Day He'll Make It Plain."
Miss Jeppeson, daughter of Daniel and Effie Ulrick Jeppeson, was born November 10, 1904, at Milford. She was a graduate of the Milford High School and obtained her college training at Iowa State Teachers College at Cedar Falls. She served as a bookkeeping supervisor for Cook's Packing Plant at Scottsbluff, Nebraska, for 11 years and while there, made her home with her brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Shaeffer. She has been associated with Vern & Coila's Club on Pocahontas Point since it opened in 1946.
Survivors include three sisters, Mrs. Gertrude Shaeffer, Mrs. Coila Titterington, both of Milford and Mrs. Helen Dean of Arnolds Park. Also surviving are two nieces, two nephews, three great nephews and four great nieces. Her parents preceded her in death.
