Rolland Baker, 64, of rural West Burlington, died Tuesday afternoon (January 18, 1966) in Porterville, California, while visiting his son.

He was born April 29,1901, in Des Moines county, the son of George and Lena Sandburg Baker. On June 16, 1920, he married Velma House, in Burington. He was a farmer.

Surviving: The wife, two sons, Harley, of Porterville, California, and James, of Miami, Florida; a daughter, Mrs. Geraldine Grinstead, of Danville; a brother, Lester, of route 1; eight grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

Services: Sunday, 2 p.m. South Walker cemetery, Reverend Russell Hart. The body is at Giles chapel.
