Raymond W. Peterson

FAIRFIELD - Raymond W. Peterson, 79, of 607 E. Adams, died Wednesday, June 27.

He was born Jan. 27, 1905, near Lockridge, to Gust and Christina Larson Peterson. He was a life resident of Jefferson County. He married Mary W. Walker July 26, 1930; she died June 7, 1969.

Mr. Peterson was retired. He had farmed and worked for the Fairfield streets department for nearly 20 years. He was a member of Augustana Lutheran Church, Lockridge, and the Eagles Lodge.

Surviving: Two sisters, Mabel Murphy, Fairfield, and Minnie Pyle, Burlington.

Funeral: 10 a.m. Friday at the Behner Funeral Home, the Rev. Linwood Monte. Committal: 1:30 p.m. Friday in Aspen Grove Cemetery, Burlington. An American Heart Fund memorial has been established.
