Shirley A. Lee, 61, of 1608 Orchard Meadow Drive, died at 6 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 15, 1992, at the Henry County Health Center in Mount Pleasant.

Born Oct. 5, 1930, at Wever, she was the daughter of Ellis and Alice Timmerman Hale. On July 19, 1969, she married Wayne R. Lee in Burlington.

She was a retired registered nurse, having served as head surgical nurse at Burlington Medical Center. She graduated from nursing school in 1952.

She was a member of Christ Episcopal Church, PFO, Norman Circle-Kings Daughters, the Burlington Golf Club and the Crystal Lake Club.

Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Molly Gaylord of Arlington, Va.; a sister, Ila Schachel of Fort Madison; two brothers, Max Hale of Dallas, Texas, and Stanley Hale, living in Iowa; several nieces and one nephew.

There will be no visitation.

A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Christ Episcopal Church with the Rev. Harry Knisely officiating. The body has been cremated.

Prugh Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.

A memorial has been established for the Christ Episcopal Church.
