Mrs. P. K. Wallentine

Services for Mrs. Philip K. Wallentine, 76, a native of Burlington, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Church of the Nazarene, Farmington.

The pastor, the Rev. J. K. French, will officiate. He will be assisted by the Rev. Jing Chow, pastor of the Free Methodist church of Burlington. Burial will be in Embury cemetery. The body is at the Miller funeral home, Farmington.

Mrs. Wallentine died Sunday (June 17, 1960) at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Gerald Randolph, near Keosauqua. She had been ill for four years.

Lulu Nora Hendrickson, daughter of Peter and Magdaline Schroeder Hendrickson, was born near Burlington on Aug. 9, 1884 and was married to Philip K. Wallentine at Burlington on Feb. 5, 1908. They lived at Burlington until 1913, when they moved to Lee county. Wallentine died Feb. 26, 1959. A son, Dale Wallentine, also died previously, as did a brother.

Surviving, besides the daughter, are three sons: The Rev. Aaron Wallentine, San Angelo, Tex.; Homer Wallentine, Santa Fe Springs, Calif., and Everett Wallentine, of Topeka, Kan.

Also surviving are a brother and two sisters: Fremont Hendrickson, Lancaster, Calif.; Mrs. Martin Beckman, 2004 Gnahn, and Mrs. Mathilda Wagler, Burlington rural, and 12 grandchildren.
