Mildred Krieger

Mildred Jane Krieger, 69, of rural Burlington, died at 7:09 p.m. Wednesday, May 13, 1992.

Born Oct. 5, 1922, in Lowell, Iowa, she was the daughter of Henry and Fern McCannon Thomson. She married Russelll H. Krieger April 17, 1948, at Kahoka, Mo.

She was employed at IRC-TRW for 20 years before retiring. She was of the Baptist faith and a member of the Des Moines County Geneological Society.

Survivors include her husband; two sons, Kenneth Krieger of Burlington, and Garry Krieger of Route 5, Burlington; her stepfather, Jack Maddox of Carman, Ill.; four sisters, Marion Maddox of West Burlington, Jacqueline Edwards of Biggsville, Ill., Henrietta Johnson of LaHarpe, Ill., and Jeannie Garnsey of Burlington; six brothers, James Thomson of Des Moines, Don Thomson, Tom Thomson, Mark Thomson and Dean Thomson, all of Sperry, and Michael Thomson of Middletown; seven grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother.

Friends may call after 10 a.m. Friday with the family receiving friends from 7 to 8 p.m. at Lunning Chapel.

The funeral for Mrs. Krieger will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Lunning Chapel with the Rev. Gary Biggs officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery.

A memorial has been established for the American Cancer Society.
