Alice Walker Hutchcroft

Mrs. Frank J. Hutchcroft, Mediapolis, died, January 11, (1949) at 11:15 p.m., in Burlington hospital. A registered nurse, Mrs. Hutchcroft had In recent years been working as a part-time nurse at the hospital.

She was the former Alice Walker, and was born in Des Moines county December 29, 1892, the daughter of Frank and Addie Williams Walker. Prior to her marriage to Frank J. Hutchcroft, which took place in March, 1920, she practiced her profession in Des Moines county.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by 3 children, Mrs. Lulu Todd, of Morning Sun rural; Leo Hutchcroft, of Oakville rural, and Mrs. Fern Russell, of Mediapolis; a stepson, Clyde Hutchcroft, of Philadelphia; a brother and 4 sisters, Carl Walker, of Studio City, California; Mrs. Paul O'Brien, of Peoria, Illinois, Mrs. Edward Edel, of De Kalb, Illinois, Mrs. W. J. Fowler, of New Virginia, Iowa, and Mrs. Raymond Peterson, of Lockridge.

Funeral rites will be held Friday afternoon. A service will be held at the Hutchcroft home at 1:30, followed by a service In the Methodist church at 2 o'clock. Burial will be In Kossuth cemetery. The body is at the Fry funeral home, Mediapolis.
