Ms. Gladys Arlene Wiley, 86, of Mediapolis and formerly of Burlington, died at 10:54 a.m. Saturday June 27, 2020 at Great River Medical Center in West Burlington, Iowa.

Born December 5, 1933 in Burlington, she was the daughter of Archie Lee and Ella Mae (Goble) Brockway. She married Donald Morse Wiley August 17, 1966 in IL. They later divorced. He died in April of 1995.

Gladys worked for Sylvania and retired from Sterzings Food Company. She was of the Baptist Faith.

Gladys enjoyed reading, fishing, and spending time with her grandchildren. She volunteered for the reading program through the school system and was a part of the P.T.A for Washington School.

Survivors include two daughters Julie (Brad) Reed of Morning Sun, IA, and Christine (Darrin) Timberlake of Burlington, IA; four grandchildren, Derek and Brittney Fraise, and Austin and Abbey Timberlake; three sisters, Marjorie Rice of Burlington, IA, Marian Andries of Mediapolis, IA, and Delores Christofferson of Cedar Rapids, IA; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant brother, Kenneth William; four sisters, Viola Basquin, Mary Malone, Eleanor Breuer, and Pauline Massey; and two brothers, Robert and Elwood Brockway.

There will be no formal visitation but friends may call anytime from Noon-8 p.m. Thursday, July 2 at Lunning Chapel. A private Graveside Service will be held at Burlington Memorial Park Cemetery. Rev. Paul Hermansen will officiate.

A memorial to R.S.V.P has been established.
