Dorothy Ruth Mower

Dorothy Ruth Mower, 95, of Mediapolis, died at 5:27 PM Friday, April 13, 2018, at the Prairie Ridge Care & Rehabilitation in Mediapolis.

Born November 11, 1922, in Frankford, MO, she was the daughter of Edward and Viola May Eaton Lambertson. On April 15, 1940, she married Chester Roland Mower in Burlington, IA. He died on July 19, 1996.

Dorothy worked at Antennacraft. She enjoyed gardening and could grow anything; and enjoyed her pet dogs.

Survivors include two daughters, Sharon Mae Orton of Downing, MO, and Connie L (Vern) Eilers of Burlington; one son, Chester LaVerne (Pat) Mower of Ankeny, IA; six grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and one grandson.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM Monday, April 16, 2018, at Prugh’s Chapel, downtown. The funeral service for Mrs. Mower will be 11:00 AM Monday, April 16, 2018, at Prugh’s Chapel, downtown with Pastor Dan Baker officiating. Burial will be in Edwards Cemetery.

A memorial has been established for Prairie Ridge Care & Rehabilitation.
