Paul Frederick Johnsen, 83, of 2061 Meeker Landing Road, Oakville, died at 10:01 a.m. Friday, July 5, 1996, at Burlington Medical Center.
Born Oct. 28, 1913, in Burlington, he was the son of Fredrick and Emma Johnsen. On March 21, 1936, he married Ila Van Della Andrews in Burlington.
Mr. Johnsen had been head stockman with CB&Q Railroad.
He was of the Lutheran faith. He was a World War II Navy veteran, a member of Eagles, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9162 and a life member of Disabled American Veterans.
Survivors include his wife; nieces; nephews; and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and one brother.
Open visitation will begin after 2 p.m. today. There will be no formal family visitation.
The funeral for Mr. Johnsen will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in Prugh's Chapel, with the Chaplain David mixon officiating. Burial with military rites by VFW Post 9162 will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery.
A memorial has been established for VFW Post 9162.
