Orville P. Loper
Des Moines - Orville P. Loper, 72, Des Moines, died 0f cancer Tuesday morning, Sept. 22, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center.
He was an alumnus of Iowa Wesleyan College and Drake University; was a member of Lambda Chi Alpha and Blue Key fraternities; had been superintendent of schools in Mt. Union, Waldon, Derby and Beaman, and in Athol, Kan.; had been public relations director at Grinnell, Iowa, Wesleyan and Kansas Wesleyan colleges' and was a real estate broker and a member of Grace United Methodist Church.
Surviving: his wife, Anna P; a son, Don, Janesville, Wis.; his mother, Mrs. A.P. Loper, Sperry; a brother, James, Muscatine; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Funeral 10 a.m. Thursday, Westover Funeral Home, Des Moines. Burial: 2:30 p.m. Thursday, Memorial Park Cemetery, Burlington.
