Edward W. Krieger

Edward W. Krieger, 65, Burlington Rt. 3, died at the Mediapolis Boarding House, Mediapolis, at 4:30 p.m . Saturday, Aug. 25.

He was born Oct. 28, 1913, in Des Moines county, the son of W alter and Elsie Meyer Krieger. He married Florence Emma (Tillie) Lorenz June 5, 1938, in Des Moines county; she died Jan. 27, 1968.

A retired farmer and truck-driver, he had also worked for five years as a janitor in the Burlington school district and was a member of the Lutheran church.

Surviving: His mother, Elsie Krieger, Rt. 3; three sons, Gerald, Mediapolis, Neal, New London, and Roger, Rt. 1; and three brothers, Irvin, Lawrence and Floyd, all of Rt. 3.

Funeral: 10 a.m . Tuesday, Prugh’s Chapel, Rev. Roy Satre; Salem Lutheran cemetery. A memorial has been established for Salem Lutheran church.
