Benjamin Breuer

Benjamin C. Breuer, 69, of West Burlington route one, died at 5:45 p.m. Wednesday at Mercy hospital. He was in failing health the past two years.

Breuer farmed in Flint River township many years and was a member of Salem Lutheran church.

He was born in Flint River township on Nov. 21 1887, the son of Louis and Caroline Brandt Breuer. He married Mathilda Larson at Cedar Minn. on Sept. 5, 1917.

Surviving are his wife; a daughter, Mrs. David Hitchcock, of West Burlington; five brothers, Wesley and Paul of Sperry, and Walter, Lewis and Alfred Breuer of Burlington; two sisters, Mrs. Clara Wilson of Bolder Colo. and Mrs. Ella Hingst of Burlington; four grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews. His parents, a daughter, a son and a sister are dead.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Salem Lutheran church. The body will be taken from Prugh's chapel to the church at 10 a.m. Saturday. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Mr. Benjamin C. Breuer

Funeral services for Mr. Benjamin C. Breuer, who passed away, Oct. 30, 1957, will be held in Salem's Lutheran Church, Saturday afternoon a 2 o'clock. The body will be taken from Prugh's Chapel, to the church, Saturday morning at 10 o'clock, and will lie in state until time for the services. Interment will be in Salem's Lutheran Cemetery. The family well receive friends in Prugh's Chapel, Friday evening from 7:30 until 9 o'clock.
